Well here we go.

The first blog post and write up from our very first event here at HOG. We are about to give you the lowdown, our testing of the waters into the surf community here and the abundance of surf stoke that is around. Have a read, it may get you excited for the next one!

We hope you caught the wave of excitement on the 26th of May 2023 when the House of Glass threw an absolute banger of a Grand Store Launch Party! It was an evening of good vibes, great company, and some serious style from our attendees sprinkled in for good measure. We won't lie... we were a little nervous if anyone would even show face. But the community did not disappoint and we appreciated all the love!

Let's start from the beginning, what were we celebrating?

Surfboards, Coffee, and Honest Community: Imagine a surfboard showroom infused with a coffee house; a place where you can get to know people and the art of surfing without feeling like you're being sold something. A place where you can get all your surfing essentials and a space where you can make it your own – that's the House of Glass for you! The hardworking souls around us have been toiling away to help turn our dream into reality, and boy, did it pay off.  This place has all the community feeling. You'll find surfboards that'll take your summer shreds to the next level, to aromatic coffee that'll perk you up after your arms can't paddle anymore. However, the House of Glass is more than just a surf shop and coffee joint – it's a whole community! We believe in collaboration, good times, and supporting local talent. Our Chesterfield has already sat some happy faces which without them, this place wouldn't have been possible. In fact, we are all about creating a space where surfers, creatives, and like-minded folks can come together, hang out, and share the stoke.

So let's get to the event.

Sunshine, Surfers, and Sips: As the day rolled on and the sun bathed the courtyard in a golden glow, the House of Glass store launched with a steady flow of gathering feet! Surfers and friends of all ages and skill levels flocked to the event, bringing with them a contagious energy that kept the good times rolling. Chilled music from Henry Zyda provided the perfect soundtrack as friends, old and new, turned to conversation over refreshing sips of Sharp's Pale Ale, developing the evening into a bona fide HOG new family affair.

Cheers and Celebrations: Of course, what's a party without some drinks? House of Glass teamed up with Sharps Brewery to keep the drinks flowing and the spirits soaring. As the sun began to set, the kids hit the hay, and the delinquents kicked the party up a notch. The music got louder, and the House of Glass turned into a lively hub of good times and awesome memories.

Surfboards and Pizza, A Perfect Combo: Surfboards weren't the only stars of the show; some lucky guests got their hands on new surfboards, elevating the stoke to another level! And when the munchies hit, pizza came to the rescue, serving up the perfect combo alongside those refreshing drinks. The coffee hub was transformed from day to night into a bar and no-one was left empty handed.

The Spirit of Togetherness: Amidst the laughter, music, and high vibrations, one thing became crystal clear – the House of Glass was more than just a store; it was a collective of passionate souls who worked together to deliver quality UK goods to the community. And as the night rolled on, the House of Glass team expressed our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had been a part of this epic journey. It truly was a celebration of dreams turned reality and a testament to the power of a tight-knit community.
